Sre2002

The Sre2002 Internet Server

sre2002 SRE2002 is an Internet server for OS/2. More precisely, SRE2002 provides a set of functions and capabilties that allow you to implement a web server through a "filter" program that is written in REXX. Several filter programs are publically available, such as sreLite2 and (in a few months) SREhttp/2 - or you can write your own.
SRE2002 (known, last year, as SRE2001) supports most of the GoServe API, offers greatly improved (proxy-server-like) caching, includes a number of other enhancements (such as request specific timeouts), and can be readily modified!

sreLite2 Logo sreLite2 is similar to the SRElite version of SREhttp.

SREhttp/2 will be similar to SRE-http ver 1.3h, though you will need to make changes to your configuration files.

A mature (close to final) beta of SRE2002 (ver 1.10a, updated 22:08:00 5 Mar 2002, 901K) is now available. You can download it, or read the manual.

Please try it out -- it comes with a very simple filter.

Or, you can download a mature beta of sreLite2!

Now available: DELTA, an instance manipulation module for SRE2002.
DELTA supports the proposed delta-encoding standard: RFC3229

Do you have suggestions for what should be added? Would you like to be a beta tester? Or can you help with some coding? For whatever reason ... feel free to contact us!
